Hey ya'll! I hope you all had a lovely thanksgiving weekend! I know I did! :) We didn't have a party this year for thanksgiving, which at first, I will admit, I was a little disappointed about. BUT when thanksgiving did come around, I was very ... thankful :) it was spent with my just my family! To start off our fun filled day my parents bought Band Hero! (They actually bought it two days before thanksgiving but wouldn't let us open it till thanksgiving morning! It was sitting on our table, just killing us!! ;D) We played that game pretty much all day long. I've decided that I only like the drums and singing. Even thought I love playing guitar in real life it seems so much harder in Band Hero! hahaha! After that (around 2:oo) we all headed outside for a big game of ... wiffle ball! Yes, wiffle ball ("It's just a wiffle ball!!!!" LOL!) The teams were me, my dad, Rachel, and Jessica, vs my mom, Ryan, Jennifer, and Emmie. We beat them. Fer sure. They put up a good fight, but in the end, we prevailed! ;) We all had a blast though. All of us girls pretty much laughed our heads off the whole time! haha! My mom started it! Ok so I'm up to bat and my mom is pitching. Strike one. Breathe. Ok Ready for the next one. Wack! Oh yah! I'm running to first as it flies over my moms head. My mom watches it, and then frantically looks around as her team is yelling. Ryan runs for the ball, Jennifer misses it, so my mom finds a random ball by her feet, picks it up and throws it to first. hahah! ;)
We at our big lunch/dinner at 3:00. Typical turkey dinner. It was mucho good-o. After that we pulled out DDR to "get some exercise" in. ;) I guess I should probably play that a little more often, Rachel creamed me ...
Then it was pretty much just hanging out for the rest of the day. We did some Family Flipping (haha, spending quality time together watching TV), and ate way to much dessert! Ryan and my dad really wanted to watch the game, but I guess they must have turned it on at the wrong time or something, so we all ended up watching Meet the Robinsons! That was the first time I've ever seen that movie ... I LOVE it!! HA! It's so hilarious!! Probably one of my favorite cartoons now! :)
All it all it was a pretty amazing day!
I know its pretty much what everyone says, but really, the thing that I am most thankful for is the amazing family God gave me!
Sounds like an awesome thanksgiving. Those "lazy days" are just the best. But wiffle ball and DDR sure work off all the dinner and dessert ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to play Band Hero when I come over!
