Done, done, and done!

  School is DONE now. YES! I finished on Monday and now I'm stress free!! hahahahha! Yah, that was pretty hilarious wasn't it? It's like part of being Erika is stress ;) Buuuut thats ok, it keeps me on my toes. ;)
  Ok ok, so I DO have pictures to post, but they are all on the laptop and the laptop decided it didn't want us to have Internet anymore so now we only have Internet on one computer! (I think the laptop hates me. I think I've stressed it out with all my picture stuff I do on there, ha!) But anyways, the wedding photos are DONE! D-O-N-E, done! AND the twins senior photos are DONE! Yay!
  Ok well I'm going to leave you with this verse that has been on my mind as of late: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 4:6-7. Man, I just love that verse. God has come to show me that with all the stress I've been feeling, I've been keeping it to myself. God is sufficient enough to carry all of me, but I haven't been giving Him my worries. He has shown me that I just can't carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, and I'm so thankful I can't, but He can.

So I'm pretty stoked. I got to eat my first cheeseburger today since watching Food Inc. back in January! I found out that In-N-Out actually uses meat that are "free of additives, fillers and preservatives of any kind." So now whenever I'm craving meat (not that I have before haha!) I can eat a In-N-Out cheeseburger! ;)

Another round of updates!

Wedding shoot COMPLETE!! :) Yay, yay, yay! I had a wedding shoot on the 22nd of May and it went amazing!! I will have to say though, I was really freaking out the morning of the wedding because my assistant photographer (my sister) woke up not feeling well! This was our first wedding and I seriously wasn't sure what to do when she said she wasn't feeling well! We decided to just go ahead and drive up there (the church was about an hour away) and just see what would happen when we got up there. My family and I, as well as some of my other friends were praying really hard for her and a little while after we got up there, she felt better! Praise God! Together, my sister and I took around 3,000 photos so now it's time to prepare for the post-production! haha ;) Right now I'm in the process of clearing photos off of the laptop I use so I can put a few thousand new photos on here!
I'm still working on finishing up school so I can graduate! (I don't ever want to graduate from high school again! HA! Way to stressful for me! :P)
The LOST season finale was yesterday and it was SO GOOD! A lot of people were hating on the ending, but I think it was a really satisfying ending. I'm almost sad its over now though! lol It was just such a unique show. Totally kept me interested the whole way through!
Spirit West Coast is this weekend! EAKK! I just LOVE Spirit West Coast! My dad and I are going to be going and I am so excited!!
Aaaaannnndddd, hmmm. I think thats about it. I know this was like super short and rather random, but I'll make more sense once school is done and I can start working on the wedding photos. :) Till then, try and make sense of what I say? hahah!
OH I do have some other senior shoots to upload. I'll post them this week. :) They ARE on my fan page on Facebook, so you can check them out there if your interested! I'm also working on putting new pictures up on my website, I'll let ya'll know once that's done.

So I counted it out, and (not including Sundays) I had 5 free days in the month of March! So that is my legit excuse for not updating for a whole month! ;)

Senior Shoot

I got a referral job from the Jones to do some senior pictures, and it went great! I didn't know the people before hand so I was curious to see how this shoot would turn out, and it turned out to be really fun! Both the mother and the son had great personalities and were really easy to get along with. The shoot becomes more fun when everyone is comfortable, and this one was great! :)

Anyways lets see what's new?

.... I AM GOING TO BE AN AUNT!! Eak! How exciting is this??? Congrats to Zach and Becca!! AND I found this out at the Happiest Place on Earth! How much better can this get?? lol

Hmm what else? I just got back last week from visiting Becca and Zach, that was a lot of fun! We did a couples shoot so here's some pics from the shoot! :

Also! I have another shoot on the 1st of March. I'm excited!! I'll put some pics up once I get it all done!

Ok yah, so there's really not much going on right now so that's it!

Oh wait, duh! I am now a vegetarian! I've been converted to vegetarianism for about a month and a half now. I watch a documentary called Food Inc. and haven't been eating meat since then! I'm not a vegan because I don't want them to kill animals ;p I'm a vegetarian because I am absolutely disgusted with the way that the industries make and process our meat. So I will still eat organic and free range meat, but that's the only meat I'll eat! I'm also working on cutting back the dairy. Getting rid of the cheese has been hard, but not impossible ... :)

Seriously though, you should check out Food Inc. It is just incredible!

Welcome year 2010! I've been waiting for you for what seems like forever! Why? Because I graduate this year! Huzza! June 11th is my graduation date, pretty exciting yah?
With the new year comes new things like ... new years resolutions! Oh joy. Another year to forget what goals I made at the beginning of the year, so by the end of the year I get to hear how I failed them all! What fun! But no! This year, with God's help (and a monthly reminder), I am determined to accomplish my goals! One of my goals is to memorize Psalm 119. Yup, all 176 verses! As I was trying to come up with some new years resolutions I wanted to do a memory one. So I was flipping through my bible trying to figure out what I was going to memorize. "God, what do you want me to memorize this year?" A thought popped into my head, "Memorize Psalm 119." What? Are you kidding me? That Psalm is so insanely long! But I kept feeling a tug to do that one. The first to verses of that Psalm are "Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies who seek Him with their whole heart."(ESV) How better to walk in His way blameless than to know His word? And what better way to know His word than to memorize it? So I'm working on that Psalm. I actually haven't started the memory work part of it yet, right now I'm reading that Psalm through.
What else comes with the new years? New jobs! Yes, I have a photography job! The date? May 22. The event? A wedding! Yes! I have my very first wedding shoot! I am so so so excited!!
I'll have more info on it when I talk to Bethany and John about it all, which probably won't be for a few months. May seems so far away! ... Well so does June ... ah well, this is where patience comes in yah? ;)

Well that's all for now! Going to get back to writing a song, it's almost done! I stopped to update my blog though because I realized I haven't done it in forever! ;)
